The secrets to a long life

I was listening to the radio in the car the other day and heard that the oldest person had just died at 116.  This lead to a discussion of Jeanne Calment, the oldest documented person who lived until the age of 122.

A frenchwoman, Jeanne shared her secrets to longevity, some of which included:
  • wine,
  • two cigarettes a day,
  • tennis,
  • bicycling,
  • walking,
  • and chocolate.

Although, perhaps what most contributed to her long life was her humor, wit, and lack of stress.

She once said:

"If you can't do anything about it, don't worry about it. "

Cheers!
